Election

The election has been weighing heavily on my heart the past week. I have been praying hard for our country and that God will have control, no matter what the outcome. I know not everyone reading this will agree with me, but that is the joy of blogging, so I am gonna lay it all out.

We have a little more invested into the next president simply b/c he will be Peter's next boss. Well, you know what I mean. He will make big choices on the next 4 years of Peter's location, pay and overall safety. So from the beginning of the campaigns, both Peter and I have been really educated ourselves about the candidates. Now, I consider myself a true Republican. I want smaller government. I do not believe raising taxes will fix the problem. We need to control government spending. With that said, I think the GOP has veered away from the Republican way, and I have honestly been disgusted with them in the last few years.

But what is the alternative? Socialism? The Democratic party is supporting a man that has the same views as Marx, Stalin. Do we want that for our country? All I am saying is America... educate yourself. Just b/c someone can speak well and can make a crowd cheer does not mean he is ready to lead our country.

I really believe that the media tells us what to think. As Americans, we want it this way. We are so lazy and refuse to question anything. If the news says it, that must be the whole truth. Take the war. The media portrays a certain picture, and yet you talk to the majority of the troops, they will tell you a completely different story.

Read Obama's memoirs. Did you know that he wrote, " If it came down to Muslim and America, I would chose Muslim. " Interesting... What else don't we know.

I am not saying McCain is who our country needs. I don't know that. But I personally am trying to pick the lesser of two evils. I need to stop b/c could go forever and the baby is crying. But please. Before you go and vote on Tuesday, be sure that you know as much as you can about the one you are voting for. And pray that God continues to bless our country. God Bless America.
