Help from moms
Ok, this will be fast. I honestly don't have much energy to type too long. All I need to know is that there are other moms out there who have kids that are not angels. Like melt down, hitting things, crying , screaming, NO NO NO... sound familiar? If so, let me know. It will make me feel less of a failure.

No, never. I have never heard of such horrible behavior...my kids would not DREAM of doing that. HA! Yes dear, my kids have done, and still have moments that they do that! That is normal of a 2 year old...fun huh? (((((HUGS)))))
I just want to say that my child is not an angel and he is only 6 weeks old. Of course, he isn't screaming, hitting, crying, etc., but I don't think you are a failure. Hang in there. Know that I'm praying for you and if you ever need a babysitter, we are here for you.
Oh yes - very few children are born perfect like you and I were :)
Not that you let it go, mind you, but it will happen. Especially around bedtime, exciting times, long days, stressed Mommies, lots of company...
sometimes children have bad days and they need somewhere to crash like we do. Get them calm, and discipline if needed.
On the other side, remember, you have 18 years with this child. Not everything will be easy to correct, some things will take repeat discipline, and you have plenty of time for that! That's what you're home for! To train those cuties. NOT to do laundry and keep a perfect house. So take a deep breath and handle it calmly.
And remember, ultimately, it is the Lord who works in us to bring about what He's doing in the child. It is His work, not ours. We can do our best, and leave the results to Him instead of worrying and raising expectations too high. You can wreck a child with too much pressure or too little guidance. Relax, find the balance, think calmly, give love, mercy, and spankings, and pray for help! You are going to be fine!
OH YES I'm there!!! You don't know what to do and it's so frustrating! I know...the only thing that keeps me going sometimes is knowing that the Bible is true! :)
This made me smile. Felicia has just his the "no, no" stage. EVERY single question asked is answered with a confident or defiant "no". I'm baffled. I didn't think we said it enough for her to get on such a kick! (I always tried to say "don't touch" or "stop" instead of "no" so we'd avoid this stage!) My hope is that through gentle consistency, this will soon be merely a memory!
She doesn't hit yet- but that's just b/c Number Two isn't born yet. :-) I'm sure we'll face that in the future...
Wait till you get to the biting stage ! Ha ha!!! It usually happens in Sunday School :)
