Christmas baking

We started the tradition of making cookies together. Even Molly got involved. (She watched.) We even put on some Christmas music. It was such fun to have Samantha help. As they get older I think I really enjoy them more b/c they can understand and follow simple instructions. The first video is cutting out the cookies. This was very intense and serious. Samantha was focused and did it for a long time.

But as you can see in the second video, she drifted off into doing her own thing.

The third video is the next day when we frosted them. Samantha picked out the sprinkles, which is why they are red, white, and blue, not the traditional green and red. I think the best part for her was eating the cookies. :)

By the way, we didn't use the dough that she was playing with. So if anyone eats my cookies this year, you do not have to worry. Everyones hands were clean.

i think it is funny in the second video when she goes to cut out the second cookie, she goes right to the right spot , she seems so in control of herself.
