Cold

Most people think of Iraq as very hot, and it is...from about March to November. Over the winter months it can be very cold at times. I haven't seen any snow here, but if there had been precipitation on some of the colder days it would have been. I've seen 1/8" ice on puddles in the morning.

It can also get quite windy so when all you are doing is standing around watching other people work it can get mighty cold. Here's a couple pictures of me all bundled up.

Hey Peter!!! I know how cold it can get, and muddy in the winter. :( Did you get a "desert Scarf" if not try to find one they are great for keeping you warm or even just keeping the dirt out of your mouth!!! Stay safe!!!

Emily, Julie here. Haha. I knew you were going to ask this. Ha. How well do I know you! I know Peter could answer better, but I wasn't sure if he would read this. I think they don't have Gortex stuff in the "new print" yet. That's the last I heard.
