You know you are in need of a date with your husband when:
1. Your day ends in crying... and it's not the kids.
2. You go to bed at 9pm and when your husband climbs in bed at 11pm you don't kiss him, but you grunt.
3. You don't know what day it is... or month.
4. Your daughter reminds you to be happy.
5. The song stuck in BOTH of your heads is from Mary Poppins.
6. The only time you get together to talk is when one is going the bathroom and the other one is putting away laundry.
7. You forget how to breath...
8. And you can't remember the last time you took more then 5 minutes to do you hair.
OK, well, it hasn't been horrible around here, but we just had a week of... well, we needed a date. Peter's schedule has been different the last couple of weeks and since our whole family is big on routine, we were all exhausted in one form or another. As the girls sit at the dinner table, ready to eat, crying, whining and just a mess, I picked up the phone and called the babysitter. Tomorrow night.. date is set.
We had a great time. We went to Cheddars, a great restaurant down here and talked about nothing important. It was great. I caught myself actually seeing Peter again. Meaning, noticing the cute krinkles around his eyes when he smiles. Laughing at the way he doesn't like to get his fingers dirty when eating. And listening to his smooth, deep voice. :)
We took some pictures. As you can see, Peter once again was being difficult. But I was determined. Here I almost dropped the camera.
Peter showing off his Peanut M&M's.
And it just went down hill from there. Obviously the top picture was the winner. :)
