Creation Concoction

My dear friend, Erica, gave me this "recipe" for a great craft that Samantha and I both enjoyed. As seen from the title, it's a Creation project. Basically, by using yummy treats, you teach your child the 7 days of creation. I will admit, Samantha was a little bit more excited about the skittles and whipped cream then actually learning everything, but I think I got some of it stuck in here head! Below is instructions for those who want to try this.

Day 1= Day and Night: Begin with an empty bowl. For day, add cool whip. For night, add chocolate chips.

Day 2 = Sky: For the sky, add marshmallows.

Day 3= Earth/sea/plants: For this day add green cocnut or another candy/cookie that would resemble earth or sea. (We used green skittles.)

Day 4= Sun/Moon/Stars: You can add star sprinkles, peanut butter chips or other goodies that look like sun/moon or stars. (We had star sprinkles in the house...)

Day 5= Fish/birds: Add gummy fish or birds. (We used chocolate graham cracker fish.)

Day 6= Animals/ Man and Woman: Add animal crackers and 2 gingerbread men.

Day 7= Rest: Explain that God rested and said, "It is very good." Now we can rest and enjoy eating our concoction.

You can obviously be creative. There is no set formula. Just be prepared for one super excited kid!

The look Samantha had when I told her she could enjoy!

Our creation! (Not nearly as beautiful as God's creation.:)

Cute idea! I'll have to try that when Emma gets a little bit bigger.

I'm SO glad you were able to do this! Where did you find the gingerbread people? I had trouble finding them.
