Snapping beans and a Recipe

Samantha is a helper at heart. She loves to do work around the house and she loves to be like a big girl. The girl's nap schedule was off, so I had one sleeping and one awake. Samantha was able to help me with dinner since Molly was sleeping. I need to let her help more often, especially seeing how psyched she was to be my little chef.

Snapping those beans!

She was thrilled.

She also put the peeled potatos in the water.

"See!"

I am also adding a recipe of the meatloaf I made. Not because I am a great chef, but I always hated meatloaf. A big glob of meat did not appeal to me. But this recipe is so different. The meatloaf is very sweet. Peter and the girls really like it.

Ingredients:
1/2 c. each Brown sugar and ketchup
1 1/2lbs ground beef
3/4 c. milk
2 eggs
salt and pepper
1 small onion chopped
1tsp chopped garlic
3/4 c saltine crackers, crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 5X9 loaf pan.
Press the brown sugar into the bottom of the pan and spread ketchup over the sugar.
Mix remaining ingredients in bowl and shape into loaf.
Bake about 1 hour. (Sometimes I leave it in for an extra 5-10 minutes.

Enjoy!
