Miss Molly

So Samantha has always been the vocal one. She is very open with her feelings and very verbal about everything. Molly, well, she is not so much. She likes to watch. She keeps to herself. She's a thinker. Very much like Peter. That's why, when she started to bite and lick her lips about a month ago, we knew we could be in some trouble. She sensed all the strss of the deployment but didn't exactly know how to verbalize all her feelings. We have been trying our best to help her through it all.

When Samantha or even myself have said that we miss daddy, Molly's response has always been, "I don't miss daddy." I think it was her way of being tough. Not today though. We were driving in the van and Molly was in the back. She suddenly said, "Mommy, I really miss daddy." It was so sweet and sad at the same time. It's wonderful to know that she loves her daddy so much, but breaks our hearts that she must endure such pain.

If you know a military brat, be sure to thank THEM for their service. Honestly, they have it the hardest. They didn't sign up for it and they endure stress, confusion, uncertainty... all before their teen years.
