Peter officially reenlisted today. Samantha and I went to see him take the oath. It was very quiet, nothing big. But I have to say I am very proud of Peter for continuing to serve our country. It's not always glamorous, (ask him about the "blue juice" in his mouth.) And the hours can be ... well, yuck. But I know overall he is happy with his choice to join. And so am I.
We also finally got news on his deployment, thank the Lord. He will be leaving in mid-June. Even though we hate to see him leave, it is such a relief that we finally know for sure that it is happening. The next month will be crazy b/c we have a lot to prepare and do before he leaves. But I am determined to make enough time for us to create some nice memories as a family before he leaves. It's important for all of us.
